(Nicotine Tabacum)
It is a plant that is sown for leaf production in the fields of Puerto Rico. It grows with large leaves over 1 foot long and the plant can grow up to 8 feet tall. It is planted between crops as a trap for caterpillars that attack other crops. Its seeds are small and should be sown in the ground without covering.
