Español- Este gandul es una de las muchas variedades tradicionales de Puerto Rico. Usualmente, se siembran durante la época de primavera para cuando llegue la cosecha en otoño, el árbol este a una altura perfecta. Pero en realidad se pueden sembrar durante cualquier momento del año. Se recomienda siempre sembrar en luna menguante para prevenir los gusanos que le dan a los granos.
 
English- This pigeon pea is one of the many traditional varieties of Puerto Rico. Usually, they are planted during the spring season so that when the harvest arrives in autumn, the tree is at a perfect height. But actually they can be sown at any time of the year. It is always recommended to sow on the waning moon to prevent worms that eat the peas.
